Artist callout 2024 exhibitions
CALL OUT FOR EXHIBITION PROPOSALS: JAN – JUN 2024
The Praxis Artspace gallery is a flexible and low cost exhibition venue suited to a wide variety
of exhibitions and events – including performances, screenings, talks and forums. The gallery is
an ideal exhibition space for emerging artists, curators and group projects seeking national
exposure, or established artists/curators looking for an alternative venue in which to
experiment.
Preference will be given to applications that engage with Praxis Artspace’s mission to promote,
develop and support contemporary art practice and critical thinking.
Our team offers curatorial, installation and promotional support to all exhibits within the space.
Applications are welcome for all areas within our art space.
APPLICATIONS MUST INCLUDE:
- Project description (1-page maximum)
Please include descriptions of proposed work (including scale); nominate chosen
gallery space: main or front gallery; state if you’re proposing a group show (name all
artists along with collaborators and/or curators) - Rationale (1-page maximum)
This should include a concise statement of ideas informing the artist’s proposed body
of work or curatorial concept of the project. - Accompanying visual material directly relating to the proposal: such as previous or
proposed art work (video files 10-mins max total, still images 20 images max – image
sharing services preferred: Google Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer). Please include a
list of works in support material with all credit information (artist, title, year, materials) - Up-to-date CV and brief biographical statement including full contact details of the
applicants
